We’ve lived all our lives in this bloody canyon, and me can’t takes no more. Me hates the canyon. And me hates me companions.

Anyway, the five of us were huddled in Juanda’s ice cave. Someone tapped on the curtain entrance and Juanda opened it. Outside were two officers of the law. One of them was Glennard. I told the coppers to state their business or taste a lick of me blade.

After having agreed to split all of their spoils evenly, Blacksong, Juanda, Bernherd, and Glennard decide to get together to share tales of their past. Bernherd tells the tale of his first companion, a man so much like Blacksong that they are nearly indistinguishable.

Suspecting that the Traders Guild was going to find Black Song's secret path to the surface eventually, the party decided to lay some traps. Glennard cast a spell that would notify him if anyone tried to enter the cave. Black Song dug a pit. Behnerd made a magically malodorous malady. Juanda used her magic to block off the passage with a natural-seeming wall of stone, which could be climbed over if one knew where to look.

Cliffhanger... we picked up weapons and money in our heist and were mid discussion on being criminals.

Black Song wonders aloud if he should leave his crew or go off alone.

Someone has triggered Glenard's trap. We turn to notice a man and woman standing outside of the cave.

 +Years ago, Bernherd and his friend decided to open a restaurant that centered around chicken soup. After a brief squabble over the level of produce (the friend wanted to only cook up diseased and elderly chickens) they agreed to make a farm to table, free-range chicken broth.

 +They headed over to the chicken monger, a small business owner of good repute.

 +"Give me your finest birds or taste my blade", Bernherd's friend said, inexplicably drawing his sword.

 +"Um, you can't enter the shop with that", the man responded, deeply confused.

 +Bernherd's friend immediately beheaded the man, splattering his well meaning brains along the walls of his shops.

 +In an instant, five gendarmes appeared and surrounded Bernherd's friend. They carried cross-bows and swords, and raised their weapons to attack the man. After melting into the crowd, Bernherd cast a rather ineffective spell that briefly inconvenienced the men. Meanwhile, his friend cast a spell that made the soldiers believe that a large explosion had occurred. Out of the confusion, the man ran at the soldiers, but they pierced him with arrows untold, and he died.

 +Bernherd finished his story and an uncomfortable silence filled the room.

 +The group began to discuss their options, whether to flee to the surface, take to the sea, or to stay in the city and hope that they don't get caught. Finally, they decided to send Glennard back to the Hall of Records and tell Jilliand that there was nothing too worry about.

 +Jilliand seemed confused but willing to accept it, thus leaving the companions to (hopefully) continue on with their nefarious, union-busting ways.
