Chapter 1plugin-autotooltip__default plugin-autotooltip_bigChapter 1: The Chapel

Our merry band of adventurers set out under the decree of Royal British Archaeological Society to investigate antiques in the Kingdom of Kongo. The expedition appears to be exploratory and relatively diplomatic in nature, although the British Empire appears to be geo-politically motivated. Just my guess. F-in King George III. Hate that guy. Among my crewmates,

Chapter 2plugin-autotooltip__default plugin-autotooltip_bigChapter 2: The Beating Heart

Alfonso

1.  Given the traumatic events at the church, the party engages in heaving drinking (minus John Smythe).  The ship continues heading upriver towards Karima and the Whitby/Whitlock/Whitford/Whittaker trading post.  More drinking.  Vomit

Chapter 3plugin-autotooltip__default plugin-autotooltip_bigChapter 3: Murdering Babies

1. After dispatching the root monster, the party is in rough shape. Smythe is beat, Finn recalls his childhood during the great potato famine (that happens 150 years in the future), and Isaac broke his favorite beer glass.

The room is infested with bleached baby bones, foul items, DOOKIE IN A CUP, and a large beating heart. Smythe's already ticked off so he stabs it and smashes it into a million pieces.

Chapter 4plugin-autotooltip__default plugin-autotooltip_bigChapter 4: Water Demons

1. It's the aftermath of the black goat god massacre. We were on the giving end of the massacre. I smashed pea fritter girl's head open and found her pea fritter recipe in her obnoxious pantaloons. Isaac stabbed a dude. John “bayonetted” somebody, Jacqueline shot a couple folks. A baby head exploded. 2 live babies remaining. 3 villagers escaped. Isaac cut of the goat head as evidence and we have the village shaman in tow.

Chapter 5plugin-autotooltip__default plugin-autotooltip_bigChapter 5: More Steam than Ship

1. Isaac and Jacqueline square off over the enchanted book. After some chatting, Isaac obtains said book and visits Devlin's body prior to burial. This is unknown to the other PCs, but he attempts to speak with Devlin in the afterlife, but is unable to reach him at this time. He falls ill temporarily but manages to play it off

Chapter 6plugin-autotooltip__default plugin-autotooltip_bigChapter 6: No Choice But to Help

1. From last session, battle ensues with reanimated corpse of spiritual Nebti leader. We throw down and win. Apparently, this jawless corpse leader inspired hope among Nebti and was very much beloved. He encouraged Nebti to fight on and continue with Nebti traditions even after enslavement. So yes, after the party destroys the Nebti spiritual leader, the mob is ticked off

Chapter 7plugin-autotooltip__default plugin-autotooltip_bigChapter 7: My First Dungeon Crawl

1. After fierce fighting, the party licks its wounds and proceeds forth. Rufus has a sprained ankle and remains at disadvantage

2. As a convenient plot device, Isaac slips down a chute and disappears for the rest of the session only to return at a future date

Chapter 8plugin-autotooltip__default plugin-autotooltip_bigChapter 8: Sidetracked... very sidetracked

1. Serpent folk were dispatched outside the ziggurat from the last session. Isaac reappears. It is a miracle.

2. The party enters the temple, walking down a 15' passage. Immediately ahead lies 2 rooms on other side- an open door and a smaller room with a beaded curtain. Isaac and Smythe enter the open door, Finn waits in the hallway, Rufus walks further down the corridor, and Alfonso/Jacqueline go through the braided curtain

Chapter 9plugin-autotooltip__default plugin-autotooltip_bigChapter 9: Autobots Attack!

Quick summary this time. Had a couple key characters missing so our session was short and sweet. Shout out to Jeremy for the delicious quesadillas!

1. We are approached by 3 shining beacons of light (Archons) on a beach. They appear to be entities of good and benevolence. They mention that we are in the outlands on the outskirts of a town, Lunea. The party follows the Archons to Lunea. Mentally, each party member is in a different place. Alfonso is unsure but intrigued. Smythe believes…

Chapter 10plugin-autotooltip__default plugin-autotooltip_bigChapter 10: Fireworks

Major fireworks last session and not from the frost worm. TLDR: Shit popped off

1. The Modrons march through Lunea and decimate the city. Smythe is crushed. Alfonso less so. Jacqueline much much less so. The party's attempts to negotiate fail miserably. Bronwyn is pissed. She blames the party for failing to stop the Modron march and consequently, the fall of the city. A blinding blue column of light engulfs the party, transporting them away.

Chapter 11plugin-autotooltip__default plugin-autotooltip_bigChapter 11

It's been a while, so some details may be fuzzy.

1. Jacqueline is subdued and trussed up by Finn and John. The book is removed from her possession. Isaac, Alfonso, and Rufus look somberly on. The party searches through the remaining tents to find equipment for the cold. Grease/blubber is collected. Alfonso discovers in one of the tents, a thick wooden shield (with two crows facing one another) and a heavy gold ring of good craftsmanship (lions and crucifix adorning)
