At TripAdvisor, I was the tech lead and lead front end engineer for the Site Experience team. This team's goal was to improve user experience across the site. I also lead a cross-team effort to improve our front end architecture and keep up with the latest technology.
I worked across the site, but here are a few examples of my work. These screenshots were taken long after my employment, but very little changed since I left the company.
I led several reworks of the Hotels page, in order to improve user experience without impacting revenue. In addition, I identified and implemented a number of optimizations to the speed of operations on the page, including testing on a cheap consumer laptop in order to improve page scrolling speed.
I let several improvements to the restaurants and restaurant list pages.
