Early origins of Rang

Rang is said to be half as old as the world. The first settlers of the territory came from the cold regions to the northwest of Rang. over the years, to celebrate a person (religious, political or mythical figure) or an historical event. Some of these days have endured through time, while others have faded. It is no coincidence that these are balanced heavily toward the winter, when there is no work to do in the fields.

Moonday

Drannenveldt, King Diure the First, declared the first day of each month a rest day.

Thirdweek

The first day of the third week of every month was declared a restday by Diure LIV, Diure the Unwise. Although his reign was brief and he was not well-liked, no king has been able to even speak of revoking this restday without risk of popular revolt.

Corronation Day

Corronation Day celebrates the corronation of King Diure LXIV, on the tenth of Garinon (2/10). It was declared a restday three years into his reign.
