Refrain:
If it hadn't been for Fireman Joe
I'd have burned up long time ago
Where did he come from look there he goes
To fight off fires, our Fireman Joe
Refrain
Refrain
Refrain
He came to town barely noticed at all
He got some pelts, and went to sell them all,
His handling was his tool and his words were his gun
But we all knew his journey had only just begun
Refrain
Refrain
He saved us from disaster wherever he went
The peasants from the fire think that he was heaven-sent,
They all told his tale so that all could know
The brave daring deeds of our Fireman Joe

Joe! the Man they call Joe!
He stopped all the thieves and he,
became less poor,
Stood up to that Fire and he,
showed it what for.
We've love for him now,
its hard to let go,
the hero of Freetown, the man they call…Joe!
Well, Joe saw the stableboys breakin',
he heard the trainer's lament,
He saw that horse a'takin,
bites, out of everyone's pants.
He said, “you can't do that to my people,”
said, “you can't crush them under yer heel.”
So joe strapped on his hat,
and in 5 seconds flat,
took everything that horse had to deal.

Sung to the Firefly song 'The Hero of Canton (The Man they Call Jayne)'
JOE!
The fireman JOE!
He put out the blazes
Tamed a demon horse
He scuffled with ruffians
and won out of course
Our love for him him now,
We'll just have to show
The hero of Freetown,
The Fireman Joe!
He wandered in one early morning
Knife in hand and gleam in eye
And suddenly without warning
Flames leapt up that reached the sky
He went and gathered some water!
He braved the flames all alone!
And that, friends, was that
In five seconds flat
He quenched them and saved all our homes
He put out the blazes
Tamed a demon horse
He scuffled with ruffians
and won out of course
Our love for him him now,
We'll just have to show
The hero of Freetown,
The Fireman Joe!
Now there was a terrible demon
With a mane of night and hooves of steel
Joe met the horse's eyes gleamin'
Not a quiver of fear did he feel
He said “You may break my bones and body,
But you will never break my soul!”
The demon did wail
And its courage failed
He turned that demon to a foal!
He put out the blazes
Tamed a demon horse
He scuffled with ruffians
and won out of course
Our love for him him now,
We'll just have to show
The hero of Freetown,
The Fireman Joe!
The hero of Freetown,
the Fireman Joe!

There once was a commoner,
by the name of Joe Wood!
A commoner he was,
but at making money, he was good!
Ol' Joe Was Simple,
Din't ask for much,
Got a good job,
Din't need a crutch!
Bramble and Nipper,
Those horses two,
Nipper is a pain,
But Bramble's a bew!
Joe's played by a girl,
So loveless he be,
But the future, none of us can see!
He's The Commoner With a Cold!
He's Ever So Bold!
His Story's Never Been Told!
He's Joe! Joe The Commoner! (Commoner!)
We'll love him forever,
No matter his endeavor,
No matter the story,
He can never bore me!
What a Guy, Ol' Joe Wood
He's making money,
Just like he should!
The class of an NPC
But in our hearts, he's a total G.
Proudly he stood,
As he surveyed the woods!
Alot of Goods He's Sold!
He could survive on just mold!
This themesong is starting to get old!
He's Joe! Joe The Commoner! (Commoner!)
