This two foot oak rod, when grasped with both hands during a dash action, extends to 10' in length, and can be used as a vaulting pole. Upon reaching the height of the pole, it immediately collapses into a rod again.

This item grants advantage to dexterity(acrobatics) checks used to jump.

This two foot oak rod, when grasped with both hands during a run or charge, extends to 10' in length, and can be used as a vaulting pole. Upon reaching the height of the pole, it immediately collapses into a rod again, giving the wielder time to draw a weapon (with Quick Draw) or do any other swift action.

This item provides a +2 circumstance bonus to jump checks.

Improved Rod of Vaulting

This two foot rod comes with a leather sheath. While moving, you may use a command word to swap whatever you are holding your hand with the rod, provided the item fits in the sheath. After fifteen feet of movement, the rod extends into a five, ten or fifteen foot pole (your choice). It can then be planted in the ground and used to make a dexterity(acrobatics) check with advantage. At the height of the jump, the pole reduces back to two feet in length, and swaps itself for the stored items.

Without the sheath, the rod can still be used, but it will not swap itself for other items.

This two foot rod comes with a leather sheath. During a move, the owner may use a command word to cause any currently held items to be sheathed, and the rod to be drawn. He then grasps the rod with both hands. After fifteen feet of movement, the rod extends into a five, ten or fifteen foot pole (wielder's choice). It can then be planted in the ground and used to make a jump check with a +5 or +10 circumstance bonus. At the height of the jump, the pole reduces its length back to two feet, sheathes itself, and draws any items that were in the owner's hands before the jump. Additionally, the owner may flatten his body at the height of the jump, increasing the maximum clearance of the jump by the owner's height.

After landing, if the vaulter has not yet moved more than his movement rate, he may continue moving and even use a standard action.
